Getting Started with Auralys: Your First Day on the Music Social Network

You have heard Auralys is where music fans rate, rank and argue about the songs they love — and you want in. Good news: your first day takes about ten minutes. This walkthrough covers creating your account, setting up a profile your friends will recognise, and posting the first review that starts your feed moving.

Step 1: Create your free account

Open the official site, auralys.app, in your browser. There is no app to install — Auralys is a web app, so the site itself is the whole service. Tap "Create an account" and register. Our download and access page shows the safe route in and explains how to spot fake Auralys download sites, which is worth thirty seconds before you type a password anywhere.

Step 2: Make your profile sound like you

Pick a username your friends already know you by — the one from your other social apps is perfect, because Auralys works best when your real circle can find you fast. Add a profile picture and a short line about your taste. "Mostly rap and old soul" tells people more than a paragraph. Your profile is where your reviews and your ranking live, so it becomes your music identity on the network.

Step 3: Follow friends before you follow strangers

Auralys is a social network, and an empty feed is a boring one. Start with the friends whose taste you actually care about — the ones who send you songs at 1 a.m. Their shared tracks and reviews will fill your home feed, and their ratings are the ones you will want to argue with. You can add artists, clubs and new people later; your first day is about wiring up the circle you already have.

Step 4: Rate five tracks you already love

Do not start with something new. Search for five tracks you have played to death and rate them honestly, with a short review on at least one of them. This does three things: it teaches your feed what you like, it gives friends something to react to, and it seeds the record of your taste that grows into your Top Auralys ranking. Short reviews are fine. "The chorus has lived in my head since 2019" is a better review than a page of theory.

Step 5: Try one Quest

Quests are the daily discovery tasks on Auralys — small prompts that push you one step outside your usual rotation. Complete one on day one. It might send you to a genre you never open, or to a new release from the Friday Drop you would have scrolled past. Half the value of the network is discovering music through people, and Quests are the engine for that.

Step 6: Join one Club

Clubs are groups organised around a genre, an artist or a scene. Join one that matches the music you rated in step 4. Read the latest posts before writing your own — every club has its own tone — then introduce yourself with a track recommendation. A good first post in a club gets you followers faster than anything else on the network.

Step 7: Challenge a friend to a game

End your first day with the fun part. Auralys Space hosts the games: Music Roulette and the Live Blind Test, where you and up to five friends race to name the artist behind a track. Our post on the Auralys games explains the rules. One game tells you more about your friends' real taste than a month of feed scrolling.

Common first-day mistakes

Three things to avoid. First, rating everything ten out of ten — your ranking means nothing if every song is perfect. Second, following hundreds of strangers before your friends; your feed will fill with people you do not care about. Third, typing your password anywhere except auralys.app — fake "Auralys download" pages exist, and the real service never asks you to log in on another domain.

Your first week on Auralys

After day one, keep it light: one review a day, one Quest, one look at what friends shared. By the end of the week your feed will feel personal, your ranking will have a shape, and you will know exactly which friend has the worst taste in your circle. That is when Auralys gets addictive. Go back to the homepage any time you want the full picture of what the network offers.
